After reading the reviews, I purchased a pair of the SENA 10S helmet communicators from Revzilla.com. For the price it seemed it seemed to match our requirements. That is to be able to listen to voice turn-by-turn directions from Google Maps on the iPhone and to talk with Chris. Previously, I was watching the map on the iPhone and Chris would hit my back to get my attention. Not very safe or effective.
The 10S has other features that are nice, but not necessary for us. These include the ability to accept and make phone calls, to communicate with other riders, and to listen to FM radio. Maybe in the future circumstances will change, but right now these are used.
Installation of the unit went smooth on my Nolan N-102 helmet and Chris's AGV K-3 helmet. In both cases the lining was removed to locate the speakers and microphone. The control unit attached to the helmet shell by a clamp.
We also installed the SENA iPhone app to simply setup and verification of changes.
Here we discuss our experiences touring Northern Illinois and Wisconsin by motorcycle and staying at Bed and Breakfast's. We describe our choices of motorcycles and gear, and explore the challenges of seeing the world on two wheels and our solutions. This begins with the best honeymoon adventure.
